Summer Programs for 2022

CSSSA

California State Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) is a rigorous pre-professional training program in the visual and performing arts, creative writing, animation, and film for talented high school artists. CSSSA is planning on being in-person for the 2022 summer session. Students live and learn on the California Institute of the Arts campus. Students may even receive college credit for participation!

COSMOS

California State Summer School for Mathematics & Science (COSMOS) is an intensive four-week summer residential program for students who have demonstrated an aptitude for academic and professional careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects. Talented and motivated students completing grades 8-12 have the opportunity to work with renowned faculty, researchers, and scientists in state-of-the-art facilities while exploring advanced STEM topics far beyond the courses usually offered in California high schools. Students apply to one of the four University of California’s COSMOS campuses — UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Cruz.

USC Bovard Scholars

The USC Bovard Scholars program helps high-achieving students with financial need gain admission to and succeed at the nation’s top universities. Support is available to high-achieving rising high school seniors. Through expert admissions and financial aid assistance, comprehensive test preparation and personalized career exploration experiences, this program aims to transform lives and build a new, diverse generation of dynamic leaders.

Summer intensive runs July 10-30 on the USC campus.

Bovard scholars are offered support throughout their senior year as well.

Wharton Global Youth Program - Pre-Baccalaureate Program

The Wharton Global Youth Program mobilizes the extensive opportunities of the Wharton academic community to educate and inspire pre-collegiate students to explore business practices, analyze the world’s complex challenges, and take the first steps in becoming leaders who will transform the global economy.

Summer session I: May 23-June 29

Yale Young Global Scholars

Yale Young Global Scholars is an unparalleled academic and leadership program at Yale University, founded on the tenets of liberal arts, renowned for its diverse and inclusive community, and committed to increasing education access. Programs are offered in Innovations in Science & Technology; Literature, Philosophy, & Culture; Politics, Law & Economics; and Solving Global Challenges.

Summer Academy for Math & Sciences

The Summer Academy for Math and Science (SAMS) provides opportunities for students from underrepresented communities to explore STEM-related fields. As SAMS Scholars, students engage in a rigorous curriculum taught by our renowned faculty and staff who are deeply committed to student success. The program allows students to develop a deeper understanding of STEM via traditional classroom instruction, through hands-on projects, and sustained engagement with world-renowned faculty and skilled staff mentors.

Program runs July 5-August 12 at Carnegie Mellon University
